Travel.

For many people traveling is not a top priority. It might be impossible because economic or  health  reasons. But for many it becomes an addiction or  a way of living.

I will always remember   my very first big trip . I was 18. I was traveling with a yellow backpack, heading to Paris  for a week  but my  airline  ticket was open for a  year. It was a big ADVENTURE that changed my life. It pushed me to get out of my comfort zone. It made me wanted to know better my own country. It was something I needed to do at that time and I will be forever happy I did it.

I collected a few  quotes on that topic  and I want to share them with you. Some I like more than others.

“Travel, like the world, is a series of hills and valleys.” (Unknown)

“Travel is intensified living, maximum thrills per minute and one of the great sources of legal adventure. Travel is freedom. It’s recess and we need it .” (R.Steve)

“Globetrotting destroys ethno-centricity , helping us understand and appreciate other cultures.” (?)

“Travel teaches tolerance. ” (B. Disraeli)

The best you can bring back form a the trip is oneself safe and sound .” (Persian Proverb)

“The best trip is the one that you have not yet done.” (Loick Peyron)

“Certainly, travel is more than seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.”  (Mary Ritter Beard)

“We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment.” (Hilaire Belloc)
“The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see.” (Gilbert K. Chesterton)
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” (Saint-Augustine)
And finally this last one made me smile…
“Paris is always a good idea.”  (Audrey Hepburn)
and if traveling is your fun in life, “Keep on traveling”  like Rick Steves always says at the end of his television shows.
